CHANGE HOW YOU EAT:
If you want to sock it to water retention & swollen eye bags then cut down on alcohol and salty foods.
Salty foods are the biggest culprit here and alcohol makes you retain water like a flipping sponge! There’s a direct relationship between how much alcohol you drink and the water you retain… Try drinking a glass of water for each glass of alcohol you drink.
This is serious! After years of water retention, you can actually stretch the skin in that area so your eye bags become permanent…
CHANGE HOW YOU SLEEP:
Gravity is no joke! If you sleep on your front or on your side, the fluid collects around your eyes and you are much more likely to wake up with eye bags… Some people who sleep on e.g. their right side, find that their right eye bag is much bigger than their left… (fluid collecting overnight). And if you want to prevent the pooling of fluid in your eyebags, sleep on your back and elevate your head by adding an extra pillow.
SKINCARE ROUTINE:
Be VERY GENTLE with the thin skin underneath your eyes – it’s easy to damage. And, please keep your skin moisturized if you want to preserve your skin’s elasticity…
A QUICK WAY TO GET RID OF EYE BAGS
Get a cold spoon (soaked in ice water or put in the freezer for a few mins) and rest it on your puffy eye bags… (Some people use cut raw potato or cold soaked teabags or cucumber).
OTHER CA– — USES OF EYEBAGS: Your eye bags may also be caused by allergies (in which case try an antihistamine) or they may also be caused by fat pads (inherited or brought on by by age).
Eyebags or no eyebags you are beautiful girl!
I am here rooting for you.
