How to cook Ox Tails “Right” the first time… Tasty, Tasty Creole Style!

Emoney Blue: “Here I show you in detail how to cook them right. “Take a look before you cook” I knew there was not another recipe better than this one because I have had them all. This is a recipe that most would not share the so called “family recipe” handed down from Big Red to me. This is how they were prepared by my late Grandmother, also this is a meal that my mother will eat and has to use her fingers to get in those tight places. Please try this recipe and then let me know that you have tried them, if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to ask. Enjoy.

Sorry Youtuber’s but I cook off the cuff and never measure unless I’m baking…. but try this recipe and it will just get better each time you make it according to how you like it.

2 pounds beef oxtail
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp Thyme
1 Bell pepper
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tablespoon Creole / Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
2 tablespoons bacon drippings or shortening [If you don’t eat pork – leave this part out!]
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups broth from cooked oxtails
2 dashes browning sauce
salt and pepper to taste
* onion and garlic powder to taste
optional 1/2 cup red wine”
