WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE?

CelluliteNoMakeUpTyra-BanksReduce it using COFFEE GROUNDS…  A TYRA BANKS trick.  Girl… are you tired of the orange-peely, lumpy, dimpled skin tends to be on our behinds and the thighs?  Most women have some cellulite – even super stars – we just don’t see it because their cellulite is airbrushed out in most of the pictures we see.  No point looking outside of ourselves for the perfect woman.  WE ARE THE PERFECT WOMAN 🙂 cellulite and all!
That said, if you want to temporarily reduce your cellulite, check this out:
— WHAT TO DO
1) Take 1/2 cup of ground coffee
2) Add 1/3 cup of boiling water
3) Stir and leave for 7 mins (to allow the coffee grinds to soak up all the water)
4) Stir in 5 tablespoons of baby oil or olive oil or lotion (we’re using it to bind together the coffee so it’s easier to rub on the body)
5) Take a warm shower to make the skin clean.
6) Turn of the water and massage the coffee mixture into your cellulite-y areas
— HOW THIS WORKS…
The coffee contains caffeine and the caffeine causes the blood vessels to expand.  This causes a reduction in the amount of water retention AND increases the blood flow to the area.  The overall effect is a temporary tightening and smoothing of the cellulite affected area.
Lots of expensive cellulite creams use caffeine but this homemade method is practically free!
For a more permanent cellulite reduction try regular exercise (including resistance training to tone muscle), weight loss (if you are overweight), drinking 8 glasses of water a day and eating healthily (to avoid the build up of toxins). No one can promise total cellulite removal but you can reduce it (if you want to…)  I find mine kinda beautiful 🙂

IMG_1739So don’t stand with the bottom half of your body straight on, facing the camera. And don’t stand sideways either. Do a halfway house between the two – three quarters! Then look directly to camera. You not only look slimmer but the angles the camera will find on your face are invariably more flattering. In fact, when doing this pose, it’s hard not to feel like you’re being shot on the red carpet itself. It works! Try it! Here’s a photo of me at an event doing it!

4 ESSENTIAL SLIMMING STYLE SECRETS FOR CURVY LADIES… Sssh!

You are beautiful right now with or without the weight loss, girl!  And putting on clothes that make you feel like a million dollars really helps too!  The better you feel about yourself, the more you feel you’re worth, the more you’ll stick to a healthy lifestyle plan.

— 1) HIGHLIGHT WHAT YOU LOVE!
Use patterns and colors and accessories to draw the eye towards the parts of yourself you love the most!
So if you want to draw the eye away from your tummy and thighs wear DARK COLORS but if you want to accentuate your bust or your waist wear LIGHT COLORS e.g. a light top or a light belt to highlight those areas.
And big accessories can make you look smaller e.g. big bag, big necklace, big earrings, big bangles… I’m not saying wear them all at once!!! Just choose one element to highlight (e.g. the big necklace) and go for that!

— 2) BUY (OR MAKE) YOUR OWN SLIMMING UNDERWEAR

— 3) STRIPES GIRL! AND LINES THAT TAKE YOUR EYES UP / DOWN
– Horizontal stripes draw the eye width-ways rather than length-ways and so they make us look bigger than we actually are.
– Verticals do the opposite… Optical illusion: longer & leaner. Add a bit of cleavage too if you’d like. A V-neck lengthens you and a Polo neck squashes you

— 4) YOU DON’T NEED TO HIDE YOURSELF IN HUGE CURTAINS OF FABRIC…

I’m not saying go for tight-tight lycra pum pum shorts, I’m just saying that you are beautiful and you don’t need to hide!

– Don’t wear ‘sack’ one size fits all dresses or big baggy T-shirts. Make sure there’s a bit of shape to it, a bit of ‘fitted-ness’, especially if you have a bigger tummy.
– You’re fine to wear a Tunic top, Empire waisted top etc. something nice and flowy at the top as long as you’re wearing something tighter at the bottom to balance it e.g. a cute, dark pair of boot cut jeans.

and
– Go for well cut clothes in fabrics that aren’t too flimsy. So YES to garbadine and linen and NO to thin polyester!

WANT LONGER LASHES… NATURALLY? Here's how! #Eyelashes

People use the expression “she bats her eyelashes” for a reason… These tiny little hairs are our secret weapon – they enhance our attractiveness HUGELY!

— TAKE OFF YOUR MASCARA EVERY NIGHT!
Don’t skip this step… Not if your eyelashes mean anything to you! If you use a load of mascara make doubly sure you clean it off before bed!
There are tiny, cheeky, parasitic mites called Demodex Folliculorum and they feed on mascara… If you don’t take your mascara off regularly they will be on your eyelashes having a dinner party!
If you don’t have eye make up remover use a cotton pad and olive oil.
And don’t tug on your lashes when you take off mascara – if you harm your hair follicles, new ones might not grow back – yikes!

— EYELASH CONDITIONER / PROTECT YOUR LASHES
To stimulate growth and to protect your follicles… Before going to sleep at night, put on olive oil, castor oil or vaseline before you go to sleep and wash it off when you wake up.
If you can get a hold of some Vitamin E then use it! Vitamin E is a secret weapon if you’re looking for hair growth

— NUTRITION
If you don’t get the right nutrition your hair won’t grow, your nails won’t grow and neither will your lashes. Eat a nutrient dense diet, add a good multi-vitamin as a back up.

— OTHER SUPPLEMENTS:
BIOTIN: This increases the growth rate of your hair (inc eyelashes!) and nails. There is some scientific evidence to suggest that women with thinning hair may not have enough biotin in their body…
Food sources: swiss chard (a delicious, nutritious type of greens), onions, cucumbers, carrots, nuts (e.g. almonds) and more.

— ZINC:
One of the sad symptoms of a zinc deficiency is your eyelashes and your hair falling out! OUCH! 🙁
Make sure you get enough Zinc in your diet – it helps with hair growth. We need zinc to maintain the health of the cells in our hair follicles… so it’s pretty important because no healthy hair follicles, no healthy hair!
Food sources: beans, Fresh or dried pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds and squash seeds, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, peanuts and various meats and seafood (esp Oysters).

— IRON:
Hair loss can occur if you’re iron deficient. If you want your hair to grow and be healthy, make sure you get enough iron in your diet.
Food sources: Dark, leafy greens (spinach, swiss chard, collard greens, kale), beans (inc lentils, soybeans, garbanzo beans / chickpeas etc.), artichokes, prunes, raisins, meat (inc liver) and egg yolks.
Iron tip: make sure you eat a food with vitamin C in it at the same time as your iron rich food… this HUGELY enhances the absorbability of the iron!

— CRUCIAL TIP:
Whenever you’re putting your fingers near your eyes make sure they are clean! Always wash your hands first. You don’t want an eye infection!!!

WANT TO MAKE YOUR LIPSTICK LAST LONGER? Here’s a celeb secret… #BackByPopularDemand

GabrielleUnionredlipstickAre you sick and tired of your lipstick disappearing almost as soon as you put it on? A few little drinks from a glass, a bit of chatting and BAM… NO MORE LIPSTICK!!! What a bore and it’s expensive too.
Here’s how to make your lipstick last longer:
—1a) If your lips are dry and chapped… EXFOLIATE YOUR LIPS
You don’t want flaking skin or cracked lips ruining your look… So, put a load of lip salve on your lips and take an old, soft bristled toothbrush and gently rub in a circle. You are getting rid of the dead skin cells (and you’ve got to be careful not to rub too hard and hurt your lips)! Take some tissue and wipe off your lips to get rid of the lip salve AND the dead skin.
OR
—1b) If your lips are fine, then put some liquid foundation on them (this’ll be a great base for the lipstick to attach to).
—2) Take a LIPLINER the same color as your lipstick. FILL IN YOUR WHOLE LIP – top and bottom.
Try to use a moisturizing liner rather than one of those drying kohl lip liners.
—3) Put on your first layer of lipstick.
If you can, use a lip brush to apply your lippy… WHY? Because it helps you get the lipstick into all the nooks and crannies of your lips and the lip brush applies a thinner layer which lasts longer.
You could also use a longlasting lipstick BUT some people find these way too drying (I do! Longlasting lipstick makes my lips feel like the Sahara desert and that 8 hour lip coating thing is even worse! Sooooo drying! .
Whatever you do, don’t use glossy lipstick because that sooooooo won’t stay on…
—4) KISS YOUR HAND or BLOT YOUR LIPS WITH TISSUE
—5) BLOT TRANSLUCENT MAKEUP POWDER (or a little baby powder) on your lips.
This locks in the color.
—6) Apply another layer of lipstick.
—7) BLOT (using your hand or a tissue) and TAKE YOUR FINGER AND CLOSE YOUR MOUTH OVER IT (like it’s a popsickle). Take your finger out and you’ll got rid of the lipstick that had planned to end up on your teeth!!! Nice save
So now your lips look great but for how long???
That’s up to you.
Do:
– Drink through a straw
– Eat food using small bites so you don’t touch your lips
– Avoid too much lip licking or kissing people
BUT:
If you’re like me, you’ll start off intending to look like Gabrielle Union with perfect, long-lasting lipstick but then as soon as you arrive at the party, you’ll laugh, lick your lips, eat some food, give people pecks on the cheek and the lipstick will be gone in no time! I’m pretty darned low maintenance. LOL.
