23 Year Old Bearded Girl Beats The Bullies & Feels Beautiful Again!

MEET the 23 year old girl who’s growing a beard and now feels more feminine than ever. Harnaam Kaur suffers from PCOS  (polycystic ovary syndrome) which causes hair to grow excessively.

She was just 11 years of age when the hair started to appear & she spent her teen years desperately trying to get rid of it by waxing TWO TIMES a week and wearing baggy clothes to hide.

— Harnaam Kaur is a primary school teaching assistant and she had to endur horrific bullying at school and strangers would stare at her on the street. At one point, Harnaam was so self conscious that she never left her house, except to go to class.  At her lowest rock bottom point, Harnaam self harmed and even thought about taking her own life.

At 16 years old, Harnaam finally found the courage to embrace and accept her facial hair and she was baptised as a Sikh. This a religion that dictates that the body should be left in its natural state and you should allow your body hair to grow. Harnaam’s family wasn’t happy at first (about her religious conversion) but she was determined to feel beautiful beard or no beard.

Today, 7 years later, Harnaam is more confident about her looks than ever and she hopes her story helps other women in similar situations!

Go Harnaam!  Thank you for being so generous girl 🙂
