A ‘where are they now?’ special on two of its previous stars – both of whom are getting divorces.

Zsalynn, 43, based in San Antonio, Texas, has lost 316lbs from her former 600lb-frame following her gastric bypass surgery two years ago; and 24-year-old Christina, based in Houston, Texas, who used to weigh 708lbs has shed a whopping 468lbs.

When viewers first met Zsalynn, a mother-of-one, in season two of the hit show, she could hardly stand up and confessed she knew she would soon die from her morbid obesity.

He has a penchant for larger women, however, and has been entirely unsupportive of Zsalynn’s epic battle to lose weight.

Worse, since his wife underwent her weight-loss surgery in a last bid to save her life, he has been trying to fatten her up again.

‘I’m not buying you a salad,’ he snaps in one scene. ‘If you want to eat grass, you can go in the garden and graze.’

Zsalynn, who has acknowledged she is an ‘addict’ and still fights her cravings ‘every single day’, was thus forced to make a choice: put on weight again to please her husband or face leaving her daughter Hannah motherless.

Thankfully, she chooses the latter, and Gareth moves out.

Zsalynn has since forged a deeper bond with Hannah, and while she still feels ‘completely unlovable’, her quality of life has improved immeasurably. Her goal weight is 260 lbs, so she only has 21 lbs left to shed.”
