True Southern Fried ChickenRecipe

Ingredients
2 lbs chicken pieces
4 – 6 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp poultry seasoning
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground white pepper, 1 tsp black ground pepper
canola or corn oil, enough to deep fry with
Instructions
1. Rinse and trim the chicken of any excess skin, and fat.
2. Place the chicken in a big bowl, and fill with the buttermilk then cover.
3. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
4. Drain the buttermilk from the chicken, but DO NOT rinse the chicken.
5. Season the chicken with poultry seasoning, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, and black pepper.
6. Rub the seasoning all over the chicken, the set it aside.
7. In a large bowl add the flour and remaining seasonings. Mix well.
8. Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour 2 times.
9. Heat the oil to 360, and deep fry the chicken for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and there is no blood.
10. Let sit for 5 minutes, then serve!”
